I want todo a similar application as Markus in many ways, but to limit the scope of organisations to political parties. This to get it more like a political games which has a temporal perspective based around elections which each have different phases is passes through. Where each phase would need different task to be executed along with decisions and elections.
The site www.nationstates.net is good example, want to mix some of the concepts from there together with some ideas from writetothem and publicwhip that gives a good model of some of the elected officials.
Think the model of elected officals are vital since it also represent what roles in government that are avaible in the popularity competitions we call elections.

Pether, do you have somebody who will use it right now, or you are making a blind guess when creating software for the public whose needs you actually do not know?

Plan to deploy a version of the application on
www.directdemocracyparty.net as soon as I implemented some
functionality that I am happy to put on a live server.
Been doing to much talking and to little coding lately, but when I do work I am not creating software FOR the public only software that will be avaible to the public through the choice of using an open source license.
Kind regards

Do you have any idea of how to aproach to the people who might find your software interesting? I suppose you do not find that software be selfsuficient, right?

I think wiki is a great tool.
In a sense it democratic, but sure, there are some problems when
someone without common support justs rewrites large portions of text
from one day to another.
On the other hand wikipedia is there and I find it quite balanced in
total. If this was not the case I would agree with you Gale.
But it seems like the truth wins sooner or later even if we had some
problems with the part on DD in the swedish version before we got it
right..
For instance the link to AD was removed several times wihtout notice.
But as long as a democratic decision is taken to roll back a specific
part I see it fully democratic.
(You can always roll back to previous versions, Gale!)
