There is no registration required.
Just open the page in a browser (you also need java on the machine). Twice someone appeared and disappeared on the channel during the night, pseudo Anon5092 and Anon8952.
The only drawback is that you are given an auto generated pseudo, which looks kind of ugly, but:

I’ve used it a bit, with klaus who is in Hong Kong, we even did a live conference with 2 others, it works remarkably well!
